Complete gangway systems – made to match in technology and design – are the flexible parts of a tram and pick up and absorb the motions of the individual car. They ensure a safe and convenient crossover in the individual cars for the passenger.
HÜBNER is able to supply the whole area between the individual cars as a self-contained system. Our complete gangway systems generally contain the following components: folding or gangway bellows, top and bottom joint (as swivel or tilting joint), air conditioning duct, portal frame, articulated floor (consisting of a turning and a floor plate) and cable guide duct. We set the exact scale together with our customer. A balanced design and a careful selection of materials ensure low-maintenance gangways and a long service life.
Special head coverings blend harmoniously into the tram design. They form the optical finish on the side outline of the vehicle. We can provide for particular requirements for shape and color of the components as well as special design-engineering solutions. The articulated floor – consisting of turning plate segments and floor plate – can naturally be fitted with the flooring of the whole vehicle. The installed swivel and tilting joints are designed for low-maintenance and high reliability.
