Particularly high requirements have to be met for subways and rapid transit trains. Spacious high-comfort gangways meet specific requirements such as enhanced sound insulation, fireproofing, resistance against vandalism, wide gangways and good cleaning possibilities. The basis for quality and durability are high-quality materials with particular properties such as UV resistance, cold and heat resistance as well as high tear, tear growth and wear resistance. Special designs and carefully selected materials guarantee durable and nearly maintenance-free HÜBNER bellows.
Experience interior trim
The interior trim – consisting of linking ceiling, side walls and linking bridge/bridge plate – ensures a flexible connection between the cars and provides additional convenient space. Besides functional requirements, the interior trim – which is to a large extent vandalism-proof – can be matched to the interior of a wide variety of vehicles thanks to our large selection of surface designs. Flexible side walls cover the corrugated bellows and are so adaptable that they can adjust to every traveling motion of the vehicles. Flexible edges in the interior are completely avoided. In addition, the interior trim of the high-comfort gangway enhances the sound insulation. Our developments have resulted in numerous patents being granted both at home and abroad.
Linking bridge or bridge plate
We supply various types of floor connections for a safe crossover between the cars. The linking bridge allows passengers to conveniently move through the gangway. It adapts to every movement of the cars without allowing gaps or other openings to form. That way, passengers can safely and conveniently use the gangway at all times, irrespective of the train movements. Even the use in tilting trains with larger roll angles presents no problems for the HÜBNER linking bridge.
Bridge plates provide a nearly gap-free crossover. Overlapping bridge segments take up all the movements of the vehicle.
Coupling frame with centering system
High-comfort gangways are available either as one-piece or as two-piece gangways. The vehicle gangways are mounted using screw-on and coupling frames – both made from welded and powder-coated aluminum profiles. The screw-on frame is mounted directly on the vehicle whereas the coupling frame is either linked to one vehicle front wall by means of a locking unit (one-piece gangway) or is coupled to a second gangway half (two-piece gangway) supported on the vehicle coupling.
In order to optimize the process, a centering system is integrated in the coupling frame. Manually operated and easy to handle, it facilitates the coupling process and minimizes assembly and idle times.
