It saves space and weight: For the InnoTrans 2010 the HÜBNER Group is showing the tram articulation FX 1000 along with other fresh new products.
The diversity of vehicle types in public transport today has meant that up until now the articulation unit has had to be individually adapted for each vehicle. A laborious process that requires constant changes to the parts that are casted.
With the advent of the new FX 1000 HÜBNER separates the articulation unit from the vehicle adapter and offers more room for adaptability. Only the adapter components have to be tailored to the requirements of the vehicle manufacturer. The production technology of the modules is simplified and the universal articulation unit can be produced in larger numbers. The new more compact articulation construction also weighs significantly less while having a considerably higher loading capacity. A, for a tram, generous compressive force of up to 1.000 kN. A visit to the HÜBNER stand offers even more innovation: Multicoloured corrugated bellows impress upon the onlooker how a matching colour scheme can be continued between the wagons. A pleasant ambience in the interior of the gangway is created through the use of translucent bellows material and a new lighting concept.
