Environmental Management System with EMAS Certificate

 

HÜBNER GmbH as well as its Kassel subsidiary HÜBNER Transportation GmbH (HTG) have secured the validation of their environmental management systems in accordance with Regulation (EC) Number  761/2001 (EMAS II).
 
EMAS stands for the Eco-Management and Audit Scheme of the European Community. EMAS is the highest European certification for a systematic company environmental management system. It combines ecologically essential elements with economically advantageous approaches, and is particularly well suited to improve a company’s environmental protection performance beyond the legally required minimum.

With their participation in the EMAS program, HÜBNER GmbH and its Kassel subsidiary have chosen to implement the most demanding solution in the area of environmental management. At the same time, this fulfills the requirements of the latest version of the worldwide standard DIN EN ISO 14001.
 
Participation in the EMAS program and use of the EMAS logo is only possible following an audit by state-authorized environmental inspectors as well as the involvement of the responsible environmental authorities in the registration procedure. The EMAS program features a high level of transparency, credibility and legal security.
